    • The State Bar's investigation process,
    • How to respond to a notice from the State Bar's UPL Unit,
    • How to assist the public without practicing law.

    NOTE: The presenter will not be able to provide legal advice or comment on pending investigations or questions about specific legal issues or hypotheticals.

Benefit of the various entity structures and how they can be used to reduce your business risk. As a legal support professional you are your business. Many LDAs do not have enough insolation between themselves and their business so that a disgruntled client cannot attach your personal assets because you've pierced the corporate veil.

    How to APPLY for Temporary Emergency EX PARTE Family Law ORDERS in Sacramento County

    From Notice of Hearing to Obtaining Temporary Orders

    In the presentation we will be covering the Sacramento County post pandemic Family Law Ex Parte procedure (Sacramento County Local Rule 5.13 et seq.), what constitutes effective Notice of Hearing pursuant to California Rules of Court 5.165, Irreparable Harm or Immediate Danger as set forth in Family Code Section 3064 and California Rules of Court Section 5.151(d) and Obtaining Temporary Orders on the Court's Public Case Access System (PCAS).

    Substantive materials include sample pleadings, mandatory local forms and sample notices.
